Blistering heat beating down on me
making me feel
not sadness, nor relief
but resignation to the fact that
some things run their course
some things are meant to end
but oh what a journey
one of discovery and fascination
of learning about life through different eyes
and totally different vantage points
We become who we are today
because someone has walked the path with us
has called us by name
has chosen us to be 'friend'
Leaving their mark on our spirit
Our lives will never be the same
For that I am grateful.
I will never ever forget your name.....
