So silent now, yet life goes on
Somehow in the busyness of existence
I failed to notice that you were no longer completely engaged
In the conversation
Funny thing is that when we said 'goodbye'
It felt right, finally
Your absence is not a hole
It is what it is: an absence in body, but not in soul
I am secure in the knowledge that our paths will cross again
Our lives have been connected for far too many years
For a final fade into the sunset
I know you are out there and
You know where to find me
At this point doesn't everyone....
